Hello!

We’re Rach and Ged and we grew up in a town in North West England. At the grand age of 31 we’ve pressed the JFDI button (“just flippin’ do it!”) and have decided to travel the world. This wouldn’t be possible without the awesome support of our friends and family, and we want to take you with us. We are starting in Brazil on the 5th of January 2019 and will return to the UK at the end of May via 11 countries.

This site is set up initially for friends and family to follow our adventures, but also to give hints and tips to fellow travelers. One day we may be sleeping in an awesome hotel and then the next sleeping in a shack. It’s all part of the experience and you will get to see our thoughts as we go.

We have been to many places individually, but this is our first time backpacking together. It will be tough being away from home for so long, and this will be a physical and emotional challenge, but we are aiming to have the time of our lives (on a tiny budget!). We will aim to post on here once a week to share our experiences, good and bad, and give you a peak at our favourite snaps. Email us if you have questions and we will try and respond when we have wifi.
